How NOT to go on a Cruise

CHAPTER 1 Dinner

I grab the wife and hop into my 66 Chevelle and headed over to Cody's. When I pulled up in front of the house, like any good motorhead he had the hood up.
"Hey what's up?"
"I'm changing the diaphram on the accelerator pump on the Holley, it seems to have a pin hole in it. I walked down and picked up a new one today."
"Yeah I wish I lived a block away from the Speed Shop. Want a hand?"
"Sure."
"Hey dinner is ready come on in and get it!!"
So naturally we rush and you know what happenens to a 5 minute job when you hurry. One of the screws which was barely hanging by a thread strips out. Hey, we're not going to let a little thing like gasoline leaking all over the top of the engine stop us from have a good time. We're going cruising.

RACER'S TIP #231 Find an old broom, grab a piece of straw from it and jamb it in next to the stripped screw..it'll hold til you can get a new part.
...tada we're ready to fly.
We chow down supper and we're off. We cruise up Rte 2, get on I95 South and jump on em just a bit.... In all the times we'd ever gone anywhere this is the first time we ever took both cars. Look out Natick. Here we come!!!

CHAPTER 2 ... KABOOM!!
